In the works!

New Directions in Encaustic Painting

Collage has always been a big part of my art process and today I’m posting about my new series that is in the works, New Uses for Old Lace. This is a working title for the series and might change. Each piece in the series uses antique lace dipped in encaustic in the image making. My use of the lace treats it as a veil in some cases or a bridge to the past that leads forward in other works. The texture and translucency that the lace brings added layers and depth to the pieces. Looking forward to what this series brings!

Much gratitude for this opportunity! I'm including a link to the publisher, Blurb, to order a copy of the book. https://www.blurb.com/b/11023271-wild-lands
